Ingredients:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c.
light syrup
1 c.
roasted peanuts
1 tsp.
margarine
1 tsp.
vanilla
1 tsp.
baking soda
Directions:
Grease pan or cookie sheet. In a glass bowl stir together sugar and syrup. Microwave with full power 4 minutes. Stir in peanuts. Microwave (full power) 3 more minutes. Stir in margarine and vanilla. Microwave (full power) 1 minute more. Check temperature with a candy thermometer, should reach 300 degrees or until small amount of mixture when dropped into very cold water separates into hard brittle threads. If temperature is below 300 degrees, microwave in 1 minute increments until reaches 300 degrees. At 300 degrees, stir in baking soda.
