Hot Spiced Fruit Recipe

Ingredients:
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges,
packed in own juice
1 (16
oz.) can sliced peaches, packed
in own juice
1 (13
oz.) can pineapple chunks,
packed in own juice
1 (16
oz.) can pear halves
1 (16
oz.) can light sweet cherries
Juice
of one lemon
3/4 c.
combined fruit syrup
1/4 c.
brown sugar
1/2
tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp.
cinnamon
1/4
tsp. ground cloves
2 tbsp.
margarine

Directions:
Drain all fruits, reserving 3/4 cup of the combined syrups. Arrange fruit in a 2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with lemon juice. In a small bowl, combine 3/4 cup reserved syrup with brown sugar and all the spices; pour over fruit. Dot with margarine. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 25 minutes. Serve warm. Variation: Garnish with sour cream sprinkled with nutmeg. Yield: 10 servings.
