Chinese Fried Walnuts Recipe

Ingredients:
6 c. water
4 c.
walnuts
1/2 c.
sugar
Olive
oil
Salt

Directions:
Boil water, add walnuts. Cook 1 minute. Rinse walnuts with hot water; drain. In large bowl stir warm walnuts with sugar until dissolved. Heat oil to 350 degrees. Fry half of the nuts. With slotted spoon place nuts in sieve to drain, sprinkle very lightly with salt. Toss lightly. Transfer to paper towels to cool. Store in tightly covered container.
