Directions:Mix all ingredients together except almonds. Press into 10&#34; x 6&#34; cookie sheet. Press almonds onto top. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Let pan cool for 1/2 hour, remove and break into pieces.

<p><strong>Directions:</strong><br />Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream butter, cream cheese, milk and sugar. Add egg yolk, vanilla and flour. Mix and knead into a smooth dough. Roll out 1/8 inch thick and cut in squares. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and fill with preserves or almonds or poppy seed is also good. Pick up opposite corners and press together in the center. Bake in 400 degree oven for 10 minutes or until slightly brown. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.</p>
